Child Passenger Safety Fit Site

The Safe Kids Benton Franklin Coalition has injury prevention toolkits available to be checked out to the public. These kits have everything you need to help you provide injury prevention education or presentations. Check one out today!


Certified child passenger safety technicians do free child car seat inspections and education on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at the Washington State Patrol in Kennewick. Call 509-460-4214 to make an appointment

Communicable Disease Education

Bloodborne Pathogens

We provide our community partners with education regarding symptoms and prevention of communicable diseases. If you would like more information regarding an educational class please contact Heather Hill at 460-4232.

The course content of this workshop has followed the core curriculum guidelines of the University of Washington AIDS Education and Training Center as approved by the state of Washington's Department of Health and Department of Professional Licensing.

 

Animal Born Diseases

Environmental Health staff provides information regarding the symptoms and prevention of animal-borne diseases such as Hantavirus, West Nile, and Rabies.

 

 

Water & Solid Waste

 


Drinking & Ground Water

The primary focus of this program is to provide information to well users on appropriate testing and the importance of water quality. Additionally, we provide review and approval service for those wells serving 2 homes.

 

Solid Waste

 

We are responsible for review, permitting, and inspection of all solid waste disposal sites.

Medicaid Outreach

Oral Health

The outreach worker provides education regarding Medicaid eligibility through participation at area schools, health fairs and presentations. For more information, contact Lisa at 460-4216.

 

We offer information, materials and presentations on oral health and provide dental referrals.
