The community-based, multi-disciplinary team meets monthly to review deaths of children
who have unexpectedly lost their lives. Our responsibility is to determine any preventable
circumstances in these deaths and consider strategies to improve overall health and safety
for children. The role of the team is preventative, not investigatory.
