Effective Monday, October 19, 2009 the Benton Franklin Health District’s Kennewick Office will be closed during the noon hour, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

Encompasses services to children, adolescents, including pregnant and
parenting teens, and to their primary caretakers. Programs provide assessment, intervention
and follow-up for parent education, nutrition consultation, and linkages to community resources.
Includes the Foster Care Passport program, which provides a Public Health Nurse to gather all
medical / dental health information for children in the foster care system.
Maternal Infant Health
Public health nurse home visits are available to pregnant women, mothers of infants
and toddlers, and families with health ,growth and development, or parenting concerns.
Services include health assessment, intervention, education and referral.
Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS): Counseling, education, referral and support
for families by a PublicHealth Nurse.
Child Abuse and Neglect:
Prevention programs to provide family support, education,
community resource and referral.
