Benton-Franklin Health District: Protecting and Promoting Community Health
For over 70 years, Benton-Franklin Health District (BFHD) has been dedicated to serving the growing community of Benton and Franklin counties. Covering nearly 3,000 square miles and supporting more than 300,000 residents and visitors, BFHD operates with a team of more than 130 professionals and manages over 66 programs. Through direct services and strategic partnerships, we work to address evolving public health challenges and improve the well-being of our community.
Foundational Public Health Services (FPHS) funding is essential to sustaining these efforts. It ensures the strength of disease prevention, emergency preparedness, and community health initiatives across Washington. With FPHS support, local health jurisdictions can improve outcomes, reduce disparities, and effectively respond to emerging threats. Without this critical funding, communities in Benton and Franklin counties risk losing vital protections that keep residents safe and healthy.
