The Community of HOPE Coalition takes a community-based approach to address the root causes of toxic stress, adversity, and trauma in order to build resilience, promote healing, and advance equity on a community level. Its work is intended to use evidence-based practices and incorporate data to amplify, impact and advance systems change; it is not intended to replace the efforts of the many other communities or direct-service providers working towards similar goals. Instead, we strive to bring groups together to raise awareness and promote safe, stable, and nurturing relationships and environments.  We create community-level change by using the Tufts HOPE (Healthy Outcomes of Positive Experiences) framework, the science of hope and the Positive Community Norms framework.

Together we will:

  1. Develop a shared understanding and shared language regarding issues unique to our community, toxic stress, and childhood adversity and their impacts throughout the life course.
  2. Assess the community’s state of readiness to support change.
  3. Engage cross-sector partners to support the efforts of the coalition.
  4. Engage our community to make change and promote hope.

This Coalition meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 3:30-5:00 pm via Teams.
